My Violent Torpedo of Truth: As I am sure many of you know, the infamous Charlie Sheen has started his own show, not sure how comedic it really is going to be. Anyways, he is taking his talents to South Beach. Well, not technically, he will be performing this Saturday at the BankAtlantic Center. For more information click HERE

Havana Party: This Sunday there will be a serious brunch going on at De Rodriguez Cuba on Ocean. If you didn’t know Chef Douglas Rodriguez combined two restaurants into one, which is how this one came to be. You will be served pan-Latin seafood with pitchers of Plum Fig Spice sangria. There will be a buffet filled with ceviche, roasted pig and, of course, Cuban sandwiches. What can I say; it is just like having Easter in Havana!

Piola’s Earth Day Menu: The local pizzeria has created special dishes with produce from the Roots in the City Overtown community garden. Ten percent of proceeds will go right back to the soil. An example of what you will see on the menu is the Insalata Coconut Grove, which is filled with kale, organic eggs, radishes, and smoked salmon. There will also be the Gnocchi Overtown, which has the organic La Chipper potatoes, kale, butter, sage, and arugula. Everyone who joins will be given a bag of seeds with planting instructions. This event will be going until Saturday and it is at the Piola on Alton Road in Miami Beach.
